thank you for sharing of yourself! i believe that when you share love, you end up with MORE of it than you started with.

there's a Swedish proverb: “Shared joy is double joy; Shared sorrow is half a sorrow.”

so, thank you for sharing your sorrow to half it and your joy to double it!

Grief is an odd thing, maybe especially when you are dealing with an elder. We never know our parents all the way. They were probably cool once, but we only know them as stressed out and tired (because of us). We might get more stories from our grandparents, but they're self-selected.

Really nice story! May her memory be a comfort and inspiration.
